Township Road Farm: Growing for Yellowstone Valley
We grow fruits and berries at our farm in the beautiful Yellowstone Valley. We have a passion to grow great varieties of high-quality, healthy produce that is great to eat fresh, make into jellies and jams, or even make wine with our cold hardy wine grapes.
Our story
We moved to our farm 20-plus years ago, when it was just an alfalfa field. That first year we put in a large garden & started planting fruit trees & bushes. We kept planting a little bit every year. About the time our two girls left for college, we decided we wanted a small apple orchard & we planted about 40 apple trees. That same year we visited a vineyard/winery here in eastern Montana & thought we could do that. Before we knew it, we had planted almost 250 grape vines. We sprinkled in asparagus crowns here & there. All that was fine but of course, we decided we wanted more cherry bushes, rhubarb, raspberries, honeyberries, elderberries, currants, & even more.
